Buddhism covers a vast array of teachings from different perspectives and various vehicles while being transmitted through the lens of different cultures. It can be challenging to see the common thread running through them all. Some people see the original Pali teachings as what the Buddha taught, some focus on Pure land while others practice Vajrayana. Is Buddhism a philosophy, a religion or a science? In this talk Khentrul Rinpoche will illuminate the non-contradictory nature of what the Buddha taught and explain the common thread that binds all these teachings into a cohesive system of practice. We will take a deeper look at the true meaning of Buddhist practice and work through the many layers of complexity.
